“Before and After” – Bob Hichborn’s GL1100-powered Pulse – Clermont, FL
The Pulse was designed by Jim Bede, the inventor of the BD5 mini jet. It went through the development cycle in the early 80’s and into production from 1985 to 2000. They made about 350 units, the last vehicles out the door used GL1200 drivetrains and included AC. The first units used a severely underpowered Yamaha 400 aircooled engine. These early units had were plagued with overheating issues. GoldWing power saved the day!
